During the fall season, as the days get shorter, it is important to light up your home as much as possible during showings and open houses.  Begin, by opening shutters and shades, clean the windows both inside and outside, to make sure you allow as much natural light in as possible. Be sure to turn on the lights in the home prior to showings. If you have a dark corner, add table or standing lamp to that area. Also, double check outdoor lights to make sure they are in working order. It is also a good idea to keep the sidewalks and the driveway well lit, this is both welcoming to potential buyers and a good safety feature.
