There are sixteen private schools in Newport Beach; among them are Our Lady of the Angels, California Virtual Academy, Sage School, Temple Bat Yahm Pre-School and Newport Christian School.

Newport Beach is home to Newport Harbor, one of the largest recreational boat harbors on the west coast.
