Sherman Gardens and Library is hosting a workshop on Contemporary Ikebana. On Wednesday, July 21stbeginning at 10am, come and learn about a form of floral design that embraces nature and the simplicity of plants. This class will use techniques borrowed from traditional Japanese Ikebana. Participants will create an arrangement in a brass floral “Kenzan” using the principles of negative space and asymmetry. The class is scheduled for two hours. Registration is required and class size is limited. Cost is $85 for members and $95 for non-members.
