The Back Bay Science Center is open to the Public on Sundays from 10am to 2pm for their Community Day. The Back Bay Science Center is not normally open to the public, so this is a great opportunity for the public to learn more about the facility. The science center is located on Shellmaker Island next too Newport Dunes. This facility offers educational programs on estuarine and marine ecology and how these connect to the watershed. One the overall goals of the science center is to help people understand what they can be doing at home to impact the future of the watershed. Community Day is a free event.
